Church Building Fund
Since the constitution of the church in 1987 the chuch has met in various locations round Ellon, mainly schools and community centres and also the Kirk Centre. These have met the need of the chuch as it has grown with all having ample space for the many Sunday School classes although we have had to be adaptable on many an occasion. The main midweek activities have met in various places.
Since leaving the Kirk Centre and retrurning to Ellon Community centre in 2009 we have been very grateful for the facilities made available to us which include rooms for the various Sunday School classes, creche etc. By God's goodness we have seen a significant increase in numbers in 2011 which has meant that we are getting close to filling our current facilities on a Sunday, and stretching it on various special services in 2011.
As a result we have felt the call to push doors with regard to a permanent building for the church, somewhere God's people can worship, where His message can be taught to the children of Ellon, somewhere available for the community and which will enable us to increase our identity in Ellon such that more people can be reached in our community with the Gospel.
To this end we have set up a building fund and held a special giving day in March 2011. God has since blessed the church and, following a second special giving day in November, there is now over £100,000 in the fund.
